The CanaryWP assistant provides contextual help for WordPress operations and CanaryWP workflows.
What the assistant can help with
The assistant can help explain information such as:
- Instance state
- Logs
- Recent activity
- Testing results
- Import failures
- Scheduler problems
- Maintenance workflows
- WordPress operational questions
Context
Assistant responses are more useful when the correct context is available.
When invoked in relation to an instance, the assistant can use that instance as the relevant operational context where supported.
When used at a broader level, it can focus on the current workspace or page context.
Ask specific questions
Instead of:
“Why is this broken?”
Prefer:
“Explain the failed Site Testing steps for this instance and tell me what I should inspect first.”
Specific questions help the assistant focus on the evidence you care about.
Suggested actions
Treat an AI recommendation as guidance.
Before performing a suggested operation:
- Verify the instance.
- Verify the workspace.
- Understand the action.
- Check whether it is destructive.
- Confirm backup status.
- Review the evidence supporting the suggestion.
Sensitive information
Do not intentionally include credentials or secrets in a prompt unless the product explicitly requires and securely handles that information for the supported workflow.
High-impact operations
For database changes, software updates, deletion, restore, or production-sensitive work, review the action yourself before executing it.
When the assistant cannot determine the cause
Use the underlying operational tools.
Review:
- Activity
- Logs
- Site Health
- Testing History
- Instance state
The assistant should not manufacture certainty when the available evidence is incomplete.
